My Jurassic monitor

It’s been a long time since I used this PC because I’ve gotten used to using a laptop. But now that I’ve considered becoming a VA, I had to set it up again. My 17’ CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitor had been acting up a long time ago but it still served its purpose.  However, now that it’s been years, it’s just ready to retire. It now shows a green screen that can’t be adjusted through color settings.  I got this monitor in 2001 and during that time, I’d say that it’s still considered one of the good stuffs.

But now that technology introduced the sleek LCDs and LEDs, CRTs are history.  Not only would you get more space on your desk, it saves you more power too.  Check out this site for energy efficiency tips on PC monitor usage. I have more reasons to switch to an LED than to settle with my Jurassic monitor. So I got out and searched for affordable but good LEDs that I can use. I was considering a cheap CD-R King LED but learned more unfavorable reviews than not. Instead, I bought an 18.5’ Samsung LED that fitted my budget and gave me peace of mind because it’s a branded item that I believe would last longer. Don’t get me wrong.  I like buying items in CD-R King. All I’m saying is it’s always better to research on an item before deciding to buy it. In this case, I’m glad I did.
